Aéroports de Paris boasts an exceptional geographic location, benefiting from the appeal of Paris and France, the world’s top tourist destination, and of Paris Region, France’s leading economic region. In addition, most major western European cities are less than a two-hour flight away from Paris.
Beyond the wide variety of their professions and functions, Aéroports de Paris employees share a common commitment: to promote air travel as a preferred means of transport through the thoughtful and efficient service they provide to passengers and those who accompany them.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget complement each other in handling all categories of air traffic: long- and medium-haul, domestic, low-cost, leisure/charter and business. This complementarity allows the Group to serve a variety of customers. The traffic it handles is thus balanced between the major geographical areas.
Aéroports de Paris strives to meet the needs of airlines, irrespective of their model. Improving cooperation to benefit passengers is the purpose of the action taken to optimise infrastructures, equipment and services, eliminate delays, facilitate flight connections, reduce turnaround times and improve the experience and satisfaction of passengers.
Promoting air travel as a preferred means of transport: this challenge drives the efforts made to improve the quality of service and attractiveness of the Paris airports. With a customer satisfaction rate of 88%, Aéroports de Paris has almost attained the objective set for 2015—two years ahead of schedule—thanks to the good progress made in all terminals.
The quality of the retail offering contributes to passenger satisfaction. Aéroports de Paris designs attractive shopping areas located on the passenger’s way through the terminal, where the interior design, inspired by emblematic Paris shopping locations, offers a sample of Paris, the capital of creativity and fashion. In 2013, sales per passenger in airside shops came to €17.7, up 5.3% compared to 2012.
Aéroports de Paris airports are located at the core of a multimodal transport network, in particular comprising major road transport routes. They provide high-quality facilities and services and extensive land reserves to support the evolving needs of freight operators.
Aéroports de Paris optimises the use of its land and real estate holdings by developing a diversified offer adapted to the profiles of the customers of its three airports. Its objective is to develop 320,000 sqm to 360,000 sqm between 2011 and 2015, either alone or in partnership, depending on the projects involved.
Aéroports de Paris is ranked among the leaders in airport design, construction and operation. With its international shareholdings, it directly or indirectly manages 37 airports that handled over 200 million passengers in 2013. Through its ADP Ingénerie (ADPI) and Aéroports de Paris Management (ADPM) subsidiaries, the Group makes the best possible use of the experience of its employees. The acquisition, in May 2012, of 38% of the share capital of TAV Airports represented a growth driver for Aéroports de Paris, that had a positive impact as early as 2012.
In an increasingly mobile world, Hub One, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aéroports de Paris Group, supports small and large companies and busy sites such as airports, train stations, logistics chains and shopping centres in their connectivity projects.
Aéroports de Paris is the only airport operator ranked among the Global 100 Most Sustainable Corporations in the World for 2013. The company aims to become the European standard for airport operators, in terms of corporate social responsibility.
Aéroports de Paris is the outright owner of its land and facilities and the operator of Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly and Paris-Le Bourget airports. The Economic Regulation Agreement with the State for the 1 April 2011 to 31 March 2015 tariff period ensures the visibility required for air transport activities. The modification to the scope of regulation on 1 January 2011 encourages diversification in commercial and property activities.
